Windsor’s Edge is a small family operated resort in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, first started by Tim and Jessie Windsor, parents of 10 hectare grape vines of 5 varieties. The first variety was planted in 1995 and first release of wine was in 1999. After many successful vintages Windsor’s Edge specialises in small parcels of handmade Shiraz, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Rose’, Sparkling Shiraz and Solera Port, some of which are distinct and starting to win awards.
Amanda’s on the Edge restaurant is located on the resort near the best grape vine block, operated by Tim’s sister Amanda. It overlooks the entire vineyard offering an extraordinary dining environment and experience. Over the years Amanda’s on the Edge has become very famous in Hunter Valley with its international and modern Australian cuisine. In 1997 three luxury two-bedroom cottages were built, followed by the four-bedroom homestead. Without leaving the estate you can relax on your private verandah with a glass of wine and enjoy the views, play tennis on our synthetic grass court and finish the day with a free tasting of our award winning wines in our cellar door, or perhaps dinner at Amanda's on the Edge.. |
